SUNDAY NOV 1st

K and FIRST GRADE:
DAY #7 -We had so much fun dressing up at our hands on Shabbat party!
Q: What is the special Shabbat bread called?

SECOND GRADE:
We saw how branches turn into ashes quickly when lit with fire. The burning bush that Moshe saw did not burn- which is how he knew that Hashem was speaking to him.
Q: What were three signs that Hashem showed Moshe by the burning bush?

THIRD GRADE:
Charity/Tzedakah is not only about giving money to the poor, but also about helping someone in any way they may need. We learned all about the Mitzvah of Tzedaka and made our very own Tzedaka boxes to keep in our bedrooms.
Q: Besides from giving money to the poor, what is another example of the mitzvah of Tzedaka/charity?

FOURTH GRADE:
We learned how humans unlike animals have their brain above their heart and can think before they act.

Q: Why do we have the responsibilty of taking care of our environment as opposed to animals?

FIFTH GRADE:
Mazal Tov! This week we celebrated the marriage between special superheroes; Yaakov to Rochel and Leah. We even enjoyed a wedding feast-cake included!
Q: I am the grandson of the first Jew, a twin and married to 2 sisters. who am I?

SIXTH GRADE:
Our twins our growing nicely thank G-D! This week we learnt about the procedure of naming a Jewish girl. Rabbi Benjy led the service as we stood around the Bimah and each gave a Jewish name to our little girl. We discussed the importance of a Jewish name and how it is an essential connection with Hashem.
Q: Which days of the week can a baby girl be named by the Torah?

SEVENTH GRADE:
The Seventh grade KOSHER COOKING SHOW was lots of fun- while we baked chocolate chip cookies we checked all the eggs to ensure that they were Kosher. While blending milkshakes we determined what foods can be eaten with dairy meals and while baking mini Pizza's we learned which toppings are Kosher. Who knew Koshe could be so much fun??
Q: What are we checking raw eggs for to make sure that they are Kosher?
